Three little ducks went swimming one day Over the hills and far away And Mummy duck said, “Quack quack quack quack” But only two little ducks came back! Two little ducks went swimming one day Over the hills and far away. And Mummy duck said, “Quack quack quack quack” But only one little duck came back! If you go down in the woods today You're sure of a big surprise If you go down in the woods today You'd better go in disguise! For every bear that ever there was Will gather there for certain Because today's the day the Teddy Bears have their picnic Every Teddy Bear who's been good Is sure of a treat today There's lots of marveLlous things to eat And wonderful games to play Beneath the trees where nobody sees They'll hide and seek as long as they please 'Cause that's the way the Teddy Bears have their picnic Picnic time for Teddy Bears The little Teddy Bears are having A lovely time today Watch them, catch them unawares And see them picnic on their holiday See them gaily gad about They love to play and shout They never have any cares At six o'clock their Mummies and Daddies Will take them home to bed Because they're tired little Teddy Bears If you go down in the woods today, you better not go alone It's lovely down in the woods today, but safer to stay at home For every bear that ever there was will gather there for certain Because today's the day the teddy bears have their picnic

Miss Polly had a dolly who was sick, sick, sick. So she phoned for the doctor to be quick, quick, quick. The doctor came with her bag and her hat And she knocked at the door with a rat-a-tat-tat. She looked at the dolly and she shook her head And she said "Miss Polly, put her straight to bed!" She wrote on a paper for a pill, pill, pill "I'll be back in the morning yes I will, will, will." In the morning the dolly was quite well And Miss Polly couldnʼt wait to tell The doctor whoʼs prescribed the pill And who came right back with her bill, bill, bill.

In the dark blue sky you keep, And often through my curtains peep, For you never shut your eye, Till the sun is in the sky. Twinkle, twinkle, little star, How I wonder what you are!

about

We are Treble & Trumpet, here to introduce your little ones to the wonders of classical music (and hopefully provide some entertainment for the grown-ups as well). Our music features soprano Lucy Knight and a huge range of orchestral instruments performed by members of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.

Music is so important in supporting your little ones’ development in their early years, and the benefits of classical music for young children are well-acknowledged. So follow us for tips, exclusive musical clips, and fun ways to enjoy classical music with your babies and toddlers.

We’ve been busy at our studio in the Chilterns, writing and recording our debut album, The Classical Nursery. When we became parents 10 months ago our listening habits changed drastically – we ended up listening to nursery rhymes (not always of the highest quality) on repeat. We know the importance of classical music for your baby’s brain, which is why we’ve decided to rewrite nursery rhyme favourites and record them with real classical instruments. We think your baby deserves the very best, right from the start. Our album is designed to engage your little one and support their development, and the good news… our nursery rhymes are written to be enjoyable for grown ups too!
